Although our name says sport fishing, conservation and education are the basis of the Kenosha Sport Fishing and Conservation Association (KSFCA). Conservation is our middle name. We are committed to continuing efforts of protecting and improving the environment through education and example, ensuring that the next generations sport anglers will have the same or better resources we now enjoy.
We work with local, county, state and federal governmental agencies to share our ideas, develop conservation initiatives and provide assistance to accomplish our mission.
We now "Own" the Kenosha Salmon Rearing Pond. In 2023 the Wisconsin DNR decided to not support the operations, maintenance and development of the 52 year old rearing pond. The city of Kenosha owns the park land and the rearing pond was owned by the Wisconsin DNR. Our group has run it for the DNR for it life time, Now we assumed control over all aspects of the pond. The DNR still provides the Fingerling Salmon but we now incur the responsibility and cost of everything else.
