The Kenosha Sportfishing & Conservation Association (KSFCA) was formed in 1974 by local Kenosha Lake Michigan anglers and those with environmental interests. This group has been active in the community ever since.
- Over the years, local members and businesses have worked together to better the community through club camaraderie, contests and tournaments, community annual Kids learn to fish events, autumn and winter fly tying clinics, free life vest loaner kiosk and the purchase of the first life ring installed at the south pier.
- The KSFCA rearing pond at the mouth of the Pike River has raised and released 40,000 to 60,000 salmon fingerlings annually into Lake Michigan.
- The Pike River Cleanup organizes and supports removal of tons or garbage and waste. The KSFCA works with many youth, and adult volunteers to remove log jams that are restricting the water flow for fish and kayakers.
- Joining with other Lake Michigan fishing clubs, we keep aware of Federal, Wisc. and local fishing and conservation issues that will impact our area.
- Monthly meetings have speakers of interest in sportfishing and community topics.
We would love to have you as a Supporting Member, at a level of your choosing, to assist us in our efforts to better our community.
